Of Mice and Men: A Short but Worthwhile Read

My Review of a Book with a Title from a Robert Burns Poem

By David F.

Of Mice and Men is a classic American story written by John Steinbeck, which takes place during the Great Depression. It is a great story that deals with a variety of controversial subjects, but deserves to be honored as a great novel for all generations. It's about George and Lennie. Lennie is strong but mentally disabled. George, on the other hand... exists to be Lennie's friend. Also there's a guy named Curley who's the worst character in the book because he is a representation of the awful human being. Honestly, there's this one part where Lennie breaks Curley's hand or something, and it was so amazing that a feeling of grand exhilaration arrived triumphantly in a way I would never have imagined.

It's a rather short book, so it isn't hard to read at all.

I don't want to spoil the ending, but it is CRAAAAAAAZY...

Take it from me. Read it. Read it. Read it. Highly recommend it. 4 out of 5 stars.
